Megan Fredheim - RMT

Megan’s passion for health and helping others inspired her to study massage therapy at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy here in beautiful Victoria.

Megan is committed to working closely with each client to assist them in achieving their specific therapeutic goals. To meet each client's individual needs, she believes in drawing from and blending a variety of effective techniques including deep tissue massage, trigger point release, myofascial release and muscle energy technique (commonly used to adjust specific joints).

She loves that massage therapy gives her the opportunity to work with a diverse group of clients, including athletes, seniors, office professionals and weekend warriors.

In the spring of 2010 Megan won an award through the Massage Therapist’s Association of British Columbia for her research into sport’s related compression syndromes entitled “Reduction of arm pain in 23 year old female mixed martial artist with suspected thoracic outlet syndrome using massage therapy: A case report”.

Before becoming a Registered Massage Therapist, Megan studied a variety of disciplines including Business and Global Studies and even spent a few months in rural Guyana working as a volunteer to improve literacy and health. In her spare time, Megan enjoys a variety of different sports and activities including kickboxing, yoga, running, biking, and hiking.

She has been practicing at Koi Treatment Centre since 2010.
