Welcome back to Koi Treatment Centre!
The safety and well-being of our valued clients and staff are our first priority.
We are following protocols and guidelines set out by our governing body the College of Massage Therapists of BC as well as our professional association, the Registered Massage Therapists Association of BC and Worksafe BC. Our Return to Practice plan and policies are based on current best practices and will be adapted as necessary when needs emerge and as more information becomes available.
This page is long, but provides important information for you to know prior to your next appointment. Here is our plan to keep everyone as safe as possible:
All staff will be self-assessing for any COVID19 symptoms daily using the BC COVID19 Self-Assessment Tool.: https://bc.thrive.health/covid19/en. Any staff or therapist who shows any indication of symptoms will stay home, immediately self-isolate, and cancel any appointments until cleared to work by the relevant health authority.
Patients will play an important role in maintaining a safe environment.
Things will look a little different as we return implementing new protocols in the clinic.
Enhanced cleaning protocols are being implemented in common areas, and treatment rooms: specifically sanitization of high touch areas after every client. All items that are not able to be sanitized in between clients have been removed (magazines from waiting area, decor, etc.). We are only using cleaning and sanitation products that have been approved by Health Canada. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
All therapists will be wearing a mask while in the clinic. Wearing a mask to your appointment is optional. All patients are asked to sanitize their hands at the sanitization station upon entering the clinic and once again as they leave the clinic.
We have designed our return to practice plan and policies to minimize the potential risk of COVID19 transmission as much as possible. Due to the nature of massage therapy, physical distancing is not possible within the treatment room, therefore it is not possible to reduce the risk to zero. Pre-screening, physical distancing when not in treatment room, hand hygiene, and extensive cleaning and sanitation practices reduce the risk of transmission.
Thank you for your patience as we implement these new measures.
We very much look forward to welcoming you back and thank you for your support in protecting all our clients and staff!
